Dr. Zurfluh chose Dentistry because he has a passion for helping people, enjoys working with his hands and finds improving peoples health fulfilling. He’s a family man with a wife and four children. Born and raised in south Florida, Dr. Zurfluh enjoys offshore fishing and diving as well as spending time with his family and friends.
Kristy Dettmann has been at Pine Island Dental since 2014. She graduated high school in 2005, and college in 2010 as a Dental Assistant. Her dedication and commitment to the practice lead to her promotion as Office Manager.
Kristy was born and raised in south FL. She has one daughter, Riley and loves the outdoors. Kristy enjoys spending time with her family, her horses and likes to fish. She is passionate about helping people and loves her career choice. She’s a motivated, personable professional with years of leadership experience and continues to show dedication in her position. She is best at solving problems with grace and transparency.
Betty is a Certified Dental Assistant from Broward college with excellent communication and customer experience skills. She takes pride in making patients feel as comfortable as possible and ending their visit with a bright smile.
Betty is fluent in English and Spanish. During her time off she likes to travel, try new foods, and loves jogging on the beach.
Shirley has been with Pine Island Dental for over 20 years, and a Hygienist for 25+ years. She was born and raised in South Florida and has four children. Shirley is gentle, caring and dedicated to helping patients maintain their dental health.
Experienced in dealing with all age groups, she’s passionate about helping her patients achieve a healthy smile, as painlessly as possible.
Kailyn joined the pine island dental team in March of 2013. Born and raised in South Florida she has over 10 years of experience with dental insurance, front office tasks and administrative work. She’s a smiling face when you walk through the door, with a kind heart and bright smile. She is a problem solver and truly enjoys helping patients fully maximize their insurance benefits to decrease there out of pocket expenses. When Kailyn is not helping patients, she enjoys all outdoor activities and diving is one of her favorite hobbies. She enjoys every part of her job and all the friendships that have stemmed from this amazing work environment.
